A school building at Tijara in Alwar district, photographed with the frame, the staircase block and the external walls complete and the finishes still to come. Window openings are formed and temporarily boarded, and the entrance canopy is cast.

School buildings are simple to look at and unforgiving to service. Classroom lighting has to be even enough to read by from the back row, every circuit has to be reachable without a ladder in a corridor full of children, and the boards go where staff can get to them and pupils cannot. Conduit is cast into the walls at frame stage for exactly that reason.
